Quran burning
Anderson Cooper takes an interesting position here. Is this his position on the release of classified documents? Is this his position on Guantanamo Bay? The families of 2800 Americans killed due to the attacks by Radical Muslims are overwhelmingly against the "Ground Zero" Mosque, yet the MSM backs that up as a first amendment right. Cooper's assertion that if one American soldier is killed by this Quran burning it is somehow immoral. 2800 Americans were killed in the WTC attacks, but the mosque there is moral? Both the mosque and the Quran burnings are protected by the first amendment and when journalists release classified information, they hide behind the first amendment as well. Are journalists somehow morally superior to churches? If so, then according to the actions (or inactions) of the media is Islam > Media > Christianity? If someone could explain this I'd love to hear it.
Personally, I think it's not a good idea for Terry Jones' Church to burn Qurans. I also think it's a bad idea for the Ground Zero Mosque to be built at a location where landing gear fell. However, it is reprehensible that a Media Outlet which blasts classified information all over the world would be upset that a church exercising its first amendment rights could be responsible for the death of American Soldiers when CNN has blood on its hands. Wash the blood off of your hands CNN. The finger you're pointing at Terry Jones is stained red.

Wow, I think I have a new respect for Anderson Cooper.
Nestor, you're all over the place on this one. You're taking both sides of the issue. FYI: What CNN seems to be reporting, is the facts of the case (that it's Petreus that us pointing the finger @ Terry Jones.)
How am I all over Stan? Please explain. It is a bad idea for Terry Jones to burn the Qurans, just as it is a bad idea to build the mosque at Ground Zero. Both the mosque and the quran burning are LEGALLY appropriate. They are both morally inappropriate. CNN approves and supports the mosque, but disapproves of the quran burning. They are siding with a group that is spitting on 2800 graves and saying that the Quran burning will put innocent soldiers at risk when CNN and other liberal media outlets put soldiers at risk by reporting classified information. Anderson Cooper, who never let Terry Jones complete a sentence throughout the majority of the "interview," is saying Terry Jones will put soldiers at risk, when he has reported on classified information. (which puts soldiers at risk) He also supports the ground zero mosque which, the propaganda from, will also put soldiers at risk.
Not only are you all over the place, you're comparing apples to oranges.
Nestor has this mostly right, Stan. The MSM generally puts our soldiers at risk if it suits their agenda.
I do disagree that this loon of a "pastor" burnin the Koran puts our soldiers at risk tho. Islam and it's lust for jihad against any who disagree puts our soldiers at risk.
You don't think that fanning the flames puts our soldiers @ risk????
Y do you hate the troops (and America) so much?

Yeah, Fox News (LOL!) does it all the time.
Stan, If it hadn't been reported, it wouldn't have been an issue. Like I said, I don't agree with what Terry Jones was planning, but he had a right to do it. The New York Times, CNN and other "news" sources publish classified information on a regular basis. Who is really more responsible, some moron burning a "holy" book, or a "reputable" news organization reporting on troop numbers, movements and locations?
As a side note, it's interesting that you can find tons of videos on YouTube of people burning bibles, but every one burning a Quran gets pulled down. I'm considering burning a bible and a quran one of these days, with explanation why and posting it on YouTube to see what happens. If I didn't have a family, I'd probably do it in the next few weeks.
Let's see. Geraldo broadcasted troop location information (when we last invaded Iraq) out on CNN. So then he was gone from CNN. Who hired him after that blunder?
Nestor, do yourself a favor and lose your "comment moderation". It makes it appear that you're afraid of words.
I've explained why I have it up, it works, so I'll leave it up. Since I'm more Churchill than Chamberlain, I'll go ahead and leave the comment moderation up. I'll probably post a new thread soon though which won't moderate for another two weeks.
Anyhow, the answer is Fox News (LOL!).
Liberal/progressives/socialist's like Stan care not for valid points or arguments based in fact; they're blinded to the truth.
Islam is the religion of terror, that's why terrorism has found a home there.

Dud, I'm not a Socialist.

You're projecting (your own reality onto your (supposed) enemy, and attacking yourself instead of your (supposed) enemy.)
> Islam is the religion of terror, that's why terrorism has found a home there.
All religions are religions of terror.

> "All religions are religions of terror." I'm sorry that religion intimidates you.
Straw man. Religion only *attempts* to intimidate me. I refuse to be terrorized (or intimidated) by U, and your (false) religion.
