This video from a recent Glenn Beck Show talks about two of Obama's advisers, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (Rahm's brother) who is a health policy advisor in the Obama administration and Cass Sunstein who is Obama's regulatory czar. From the statements of Dr. Emanuel and Mr. Sunstein, it is clear that they believe in a Darwinist/Eugenics style approach to the rationing of healthcare. I have read other writings of Sunstein which show heavy influence of Marxist thought as applied to taxes. In an Op-Ed, Mr. Sunstein wrote about how taxes are essentially owed to the Government, and property owners owe the Government more than those who don't own property. These are some of the men who have the ear of the President. How can we keep saying that the President may have some bad friends (William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Tony Rezko, Louis Gates, Charles Ogletree, Cornel West, James Cone, Rahm Emanuel, Ezekiel Emanuel, Cass Sunstein etc, etc.) but he's a great guy himself? He may have distanced himself from Wright, but he continues to be surrounded by radicals. He is, plain and simple, a Marxist. I can only hope that enough people wake up to this fact by the November 2010 elections and I hope that the nation hasn't been totally rocked from its foundations by that time.

I guess since they (BOs "advisors') were talkin about worst-case scenarios,you can't say that they definitively want this as the standard practice; tho I'm sure that they probably do. Don't mean to be a contrarian here, that's Linda's job :)

I guess the thing is, I get Beck's point. We are heading towards a worst-case scenario. We have a $2 trillion deficit this year already, if you throw this in, we'll be looking at deficits in the $3 trillion ballpark. When BarryO raises taxes some more, revenues will go down, the economy will REALLY tank and we'll have an emergency. Then comes forced abortions and euthanasia. I know it won't happen right away, but it will happen eventually if these Marxists aren't stopped.
Well, the birth rates in "Western" countries are already too low. I think we're around 2%.
There's no doubt that these socialist elites will try everything on their agenda. They'll push for higher taxes claimin they didn't really anticipate how bad the Bush economy was, and so on and so forth.
America tho, is buyn that less and less.

The modern liberal idea of social justice is not biblical, and not in line with Jesus' teachings. Jesus said that his disciples should help the poor and needy. He never said pay more taxes so the government can take care of the needy. The government can't do an effective job of helping the poor. Individuals and organizations created to help specific groups of individuals are far more effective at helping the poor and downtrodden than the government ever could be. By paying more taxes it weakens the abilities of a disciple of Jesus to help the poor. Social Justice hurts the people it is designed to help, much like the majority of government programs.

We're supposed to be talking about "Bleck" (tm), but you want to talk about supposed liberal ideas. "Bleck" (tm) is anything but a liberal.

My comment talked about social justice, which was the premise of your question. Whether Beck leaves his Church is a decision that he and his family should make through prayer. The point I was making is that social justice is not taught in scripture, therefore should not be preached from the pulpit. But each person's faith is their own journey. I can share my faith, and try to help people in their journey, but at the end of the day, everyone makes their own decision and is answerable to God for their choices.

I'm not trying to define "social justice". In fact, I encourage you to use your own definition (however false of a definition it is) of "social justice" to answer my (legitimate) question.

I thought I cleared this up. I haven't been monitoring this blog too much as of the last 6 months. To ensure that I don't get spam for viagra or something on one of my older posts, I set up moderation on any post older than 2 weeks. This way, if I don't check the blog, nothing gets through that I don't approve of. Especially since I'm getting spam now.
Nestor, in another comment in another thread I suggested you move to Wordpress because they got great widgets to take care of your exact problem. I was incorrect, it's a plug-in and not a widget that does the job over there. Does Blogger support plug-ins?
I'm not really sure about the plug-ins thing. When I get back to blogging more regularly I may try to upgrade. For now, this seems to do the trick.
I actually hadn't been to my blog for probably a month or so, before you posted your recent comments. I've been cutting back my time on the internet, studying and reading more.
