Who's Right?

I caught this article on Yahoo!, which talks about the Farmer's Almanac predicting a much colder winter this year which is at odds with what is being said by the global warming Kool-Aid drinkers (The National Weather Service) . Now I'm betting that the Farmer's Almanac is right, because the Kool-Aid drinkers have been wrong for that last 3 hurricane seasons and the Almanac is right about 80-85% of the time.

Don't start makin excuses for not comin up here, Havic. We'll have snow...and we'll leave it ALL for you to shovel. I think you should spend your 45th bday in the snow, for a change...

Acrually, it snowed the day I was born; in H-town no less. And it was a real snow (to us atleast) an inch anda half.

Oh, well if it snowed the day you were born, forget it. I was thinkin you and yours weren't used to snow...but clearly you are. ;)

I curious who picked 'Kool-Aid Drinkers' as the answer in my poll.

I'll be out of the 'net for awhile. We're going to NY in the morning and I work tonight. I figure I'll be flying on about three hours sleep since security at the Austin airport is a nightmare in the morning.

That was me! I like goin against the grain and you've left me little options lately. Plus, it's less about "why" but more about "if"...if ya know what I mean.

Wow...NY...I'm jealous. Have a great time!

What year was that, like '74?

1964.

Oh, that was the first time I witnessed snow in Houston. I recall I was in elementary school and we looked out of the window and it was snowing. I recall nothing sticking to the ground where I was at, though. In '74 I recall about an inch accumulation where I was at (our average basicly is 1 snowfall (of anykind) every 10 years.)

I remember a goog snow fall in '72 (didn't live in H in '74 as I had moved in w/ my grandma in small town USA for a couple a years), I was in 3rd grade. My dad came into my room and said it had snowed durin the night and I didn't believe him. We had a good inch plus on the west side a town. I got to stay home from school and I recall my mother and I pickin him up from work later that day and havin a snowball fight in front a his office buildin.

That's a nice memory...

I remember a good snowfall back in...March I think it was. Good times, good times...

It very well could've been '72 (rather than '74), and in fact it probabaly was.

BTW: Did you ever check out the weather website based in Beaumont that I sent you the link to?

Please send the link again.

Might been both years.
