I saw this video on Stan Rosenthal's blog, http://tbsn.thesequencers.us/ and he got it from some other blog. Here is my initial feelings upon listening to Barack Obama's explanation of his statements.
Senator Obama,
YOU are out of touch. You talk about the politicization of your words...you're a politician, duh. Your words are going to be politicized. However your pastor, and spiritual mentor, politicizes the gospel. You defend his politicization of the Bible, yet you don't think it's right that your words as a United States Senator who is running for President of the United States ought to be scrutinized politically?
You bash the Bush tax cuts which helped ALL Americans, not just the wealthy. (of which you are a member Mr. Obama) You're against tax cuts, yet high taxes are destroying and have been destroying the industries in the Midwest sending manufacturing jobs overseas. This is where you are focusing your campaign, yet you are out of touch with the root causes of their job losses, and miserable economy. Either you are out of touch or you don't care. Those middle class, blue collar voters you insulted don't need you to patronize them with your half-hearted attempt at an apology. Give a REAL apology. Tell them that you're sorry that you said what you said. Say you didn't mean it the way it came out and that's it. Don't use it as a lead in to attack your political opponents.
You claim that your opponents are out of touch. But where President Bush, John McCain, Hillary Clinton and 98% of congress is out of touch is that most Americans DON'T want higher taxes. They don't want our borders wide open, they don't want a $60 billion trade deficit. They don't want to see a $400 billion budget deficit when the US treasury is taking in record revenues, and they don't want us to lose a war that was started by Radical Islam and that is of vital interest to US national security.
The American people want to see spending reduced. They want government out of our lives, they want borders protected, they want to stop seeing our jobs outsourced and they want to defeat the terrorists and see democracy flourish in the Middle East. They don't want the first amendment minimized to protect all religions except Christianity. They don't want to see freedom of speech impinged upon when it comes to Radical Islam and in our schools and universities.
The American people want real alternative fuels and they want us to use the oil we have in America. Maybe if we weren't importing so much oil from Mexico, we could close off our borders. Maybe then, Americans would get paid enough to do those jobs that 'Americans won't do'. But you and politicians like you don't actually want real solutions do you Senator? You claim to be the candidate of 'Hope', yet you tell young blacks that you attained your wealth and position due to luck. No, you got it by hard work. But you want power, and you want to take care of the people who helped you attain that power. Telling Democrats that they can make it without the government won't keep the votes coming in long term will it? No Senator, you are out of touch. Stop attacking hard working Americans and make a real effort to get in touch.

Dang! Go Nestor! Nicely written!
I didn't mean for this post to come off as a rant, but it was my initial reaction. I was trying to keep it real. If you're offended by my rant, I'm sorry, but it is what I meant, and the first thing that came out of my heart.
Nestor, is out of touch. IMHO because he made his own (deranged) post out of this. :-)
I love how racists like to call the victims of their racism "racists". ;-)

Never heard of it.
Stan,
Go to http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/group/ObamaHQ/
There's a blog w/in this site. You'd like it.
I went to look at that but couldn't make hide nor hare of the continuity. Or I should say there is none. One post says "2 min ago" and the next says yesterday's date, then we're back to an hour ago. No fun to read that way.
Well, I'm kinda bummed this mornin. Missed my morning group (overslept) and haven't been able to make wed nites (hopefully tonite tho). Gonna hafta work this comin sun as well; glad when these outta town jobers are done.
Hope e1's doin well.
Sorry bout that. Are you done in Whoville- I mean Kerrville? "Always look on the bright side of life..hoo hoo, hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo..."
Stan,
I wasn't intending to make a post out of this but my response on your blog got so long, I decided to post it here. By the way, how is what I said racist, and how do you disagree with anything I said here? I'm sure you like higher taxes. Maybe you like jobs shipped overseas and a trade deficit but probably not. I guess you would disagree with my stance on illegal immigration, even though there are solutions that benefit Americans and immigrants. (legal and illegal) Please explain what you disagree with.
Nestor,
Since Stan doesn't come out of the coffin until the sun goes down, I'll give you my prediction on his answer:
> I didn't call you a racist. Reck did. Missed your target as usual.
There ya go... ;)
Here's a new one tried out on me today..."Mom, I DARE you to take me to Dairy Queen."
Not a bad tactic. Banking on the idea that I can't turn down a dare. Unfortunately for him, he had no idea that when given the option, I always chose 'truth'. :)
Ah, the ol DQ Dude (chicken fried steak sandwich, sorta). So, did yall go? What if he double dog dared ya?
Pretty sure the lack a continuity at OB is intentional. Liberals hate free speech. Oh yes they do Stan! Where do you think terms like hate speech come from..the left. *WISE* up my friend.

One thing I do agree w/ Obama on is if we have reliable intel on Bin Laden or other high value targets in Pakistan, we go for; w/out consultin (as Savage would say), Crapistan.
Took a break from Whoville, they're installn the floorin and furniture; which means it's gonna take longer to finish, but I get to charge more. Delays were caused by other trades.
Found out today that our "head" coach isn't gonna be at next fri game, so I'm coachin. Thinkin 'bout benchin myself.
D got suckered into asst. coaching, too, for B's t-ball team. He's thrilled.
No we didn't go! You think I'm gonna fall for that?! (Stopped at CVS for a gallon of mint chocolate chip instead...think of the money I saved! That'll last us a week!) Well the double dog MAY have done it. I'm no wimp.
Why bench yourself? You get to hit cleanup! But maybe cleanup isn't good. You might be leading off the 2nd inning.
Ha! Probably would lead off the 2nd inn at cleanup. Was actually thinkin of my sore knee, gotta be practical.
D will love coachin. It doesn't have the perks a transportation prez, ('04 was it?); oh, I do my homework, but WAY more thrills.
Maybe I'll get to play a little softball on sunday. It's our annual Zilker Park service. Should be fun.
Gee, more thrills that that? ;) (It's just that the commitment is tough for him cuz ya never know when he's not gonna be able to be there.)
What's up w/ the knee?
Linda, you guys have DQ up there? There are about 17000 in Texas. I think there is a state law that any town with at least 600 residents is required to have a Dairy Queen.
Oh, we have the DQ! It does slow quite a bit in the winter, but doesn't shut down. I take that back...up north ours does shut down for the winter, but not here. We never go in the winter, tho. Brrrrr....
I'd think they're quite popular there with all the warm weather year round.
DQ, home a the blizzard? Not right for it to shut-down in the winter. And yes, DQ's are required here. Actaully, I thought they were native to Texas; shows what I know.
Zilker Park, nice place; been awhile since I've been there tho.
Ah, the knee... banged it up last game.
Hopefully D will get a chance to make most a the games and practices.
Ok, had to type and retype that last bit like three times. Too tired to cont.
GNA.
Sometimes I'm disappointed when you guys go to sleep.
Have a good Thursday!
Good mornin all!
That's wierd, S says I disappoint her prior to falling asleep ;)

Well, no Stanley last night. But he did have a special visit so who knows.
There's something weird in my yard, had to call a lawn service guy to come look at it. It looks like it's coming out of the ground. It's about 6 inches high, it's green, and on the top there's this yellow thing. Wait. Oh, OK! Sorry, it's a flower. A daffodil to be exact. My bad, it's just been awhile, I keep forgettin those things pop up every year. I gotta call that lawn guy back...
I'm not winking, my obicularis oculi is getting tired.
A daffodil. When we were in NC those were popping out everywhere. Don't know much about them other than they are yellow flowers. The only reason I know anything about them is that my mom told me, look the daffodils are coming out.
I don't know much about any flower. They're pretty. Most of the time they smell good, and bee's like em.
R, we have our picks for tnite...just a reminder! Have a feeling it's gonna be another good one.
I don't know much about any flower. They're pretty. And most of the time they smell good. Bees like 'em.
Hey R, we've got our picks for tnite, just a reminder!
whoops
lin,
Reck still workin so im posting our picks. Reck picks Jason to be offed tonite, I pick Alexis.
Thanks Summer, D and I have Alexis as well.
That was soooo funny! If I pick someone in our side games it's pretty much the kiss a death for that person. But, that was a classic. When you said you were expectn a good one, you called it. I was surprised that Parv flipped. That was great!
Don't think I've ever seen a daffodil. Kind've a funny word...daffodil.
That was awesome. THAT'S how the game is played. Poooor Ozzy...got played. I love it. After talkin all that smack about Jason bein dumb. K, totals.
Old game:
D-58
S-47
L-43
R-30
New draft:
D-7
S-7
L-4
R-2
Do me a favor, and don't bet on me doin anything good, ok? ;)
Good to see your obicularis oculi is workn again.
Ok, 3rd draft?
Lol...forget about it, you're hopeless.
A daffodil is one of those bulbs you plant in the fall, and they come up in the spring. Like tulips. (I always forget if they're annuals or perrenials.) I think annuals come up annually, and perrenials you plant and then they die in the fall. You probly don't have em cuz of your weather.
Oh and I meant to ask you, when you asked about the golf league and how it works, were you bein serious or rhetorical? I'm thinkin the latter as your weather must deem some serious leagues. Just checkin.
Choi dude kicked my butt today. Squat kick squat kick..etc. He warned me I wouldn't be able to walk later and he wasn't kidding. Then w/ in the hour I got home, my neighbor calls and summons me for a walk. She walks at 15 mph., so I go, but tell her I'll have to bail early. Which I did. Then the weather's so great, all the kids are playin kickball on my lawn. I can't resist kickball. Then I figured it was a great time to Spring clean the garage and surrounding area. (D's in Chi town.) I swear, my legs are hardly functioning.
Actually, never heard of a golf league. Curious how it works?
Was ckn-out TWC and it looks like we're all gonna get some rain. Boy, we need it; oak pollen has been murder here this year. Hardly ever get to view TWC except at night. I miss Dave Schwartz (tho I think I've seen him durin the day); funny guy. They must rotate TWC "personalities".
Re: your question about annuals and perennials: annuals are annual and perennials are...uh...pernal.
Fixin to google daffodils, then bed.
Peace.
Ha! welcome to the club. I've got just one word for you...theragesic (sp?)
Glad tall ar gettn some good weather.
Oh, stretch first next time (if ya didn't).
Nite.
Ok, with or without that spelling I don't know what the heck you're talkin about.
I fancy Vivian Brown for some reason. (TWC) I like her tone, very soothing. Abrams and Bettes are good too. The king is Cantore. Classic.
I'll get better details for you on the league.

I don't recall having a limit to how long of a post you can post on my blog. If I do, as soon as I find it in my moderation queue, I'll pass it.
> ... I'm sure you like higher taxes. ...
Sure you're sure. Don't lower taxes increase revenue? ;-)
(BTW: Just because I might not respond to most of your BS, doesn't mean that I don't think that it's BS.)
Reck -

Garbage.
Yeah the pollen is terrible. I didn't know if we were actually going to get rain but it's pouring now. Hopefully I don't get electrocu
Stan,
Well I'm sure that you don't have a limit, but I hate working hard on a plain old comment. I figure I can put in a few more minutes time and voila, it's a new blog post. I did give credit where credit was due by the way. I guess you could say that you were my inspiration. ;)
Nestor, I find it sad that you don't seem to have the capability to be inspired by Obama.
Stan,
Obama is a great speaker, but when you get down to it, he's not really saying anything. He says nothing better than I've heard anyone say nothing in a long time, but it's still nothing. His ideas are just plain bad. Liberalism isn't a good idea. It sounds good in theory, but it NEVER works. It is just plain wrong.
But I honestly think there are some other issues in the background that Obama is hiding. Didn't he say he won't do any more debates? The surface is just being scratched on him. People are starting to dig a little on him and they're finding the dirt under the rug. I think he wants to stop debating before they find the body in the closet.
Nestor,
That electrocu was hilarious! I'm weird about the computer during lightning. You know those people who think "that'll never happen to me"? I'm the complete opposite. Oh it'll happen to me alright. ZAPP!- right thru the mouse.
I wish I were inspired by Obama. It would be nice to feel the love for a candidate for a change.
"...now my legs are stickin the vinyl and my posse's gettin laughed at. F-R-E-E that spells free...credit report dot com ba-by!"
Linda,
I considered not commenting for about two days after that comment, but I couldn't do it.
L,
Thanks for plantn THAT jingle in my head the rest a the day.
You know, I think yall're forgetn that Obama isn't just promisin change, he's offerin hope as well (insert obicularis oculi here). Man, I love those words. Been walkn around all day sayn to people I come across.."Hey, obicularis oculi!" Won't say the responses I've gotten outta fear of moderation.
...so you don't end up sellin' fish to tourists in t-shirts!
Ha! Thought you guys would know that one, they play it enough. Even my kids sing it.
R,
One that's even catchier is the obicularis oris. It's the muscle by your mouth that enables you to pucker. ('laris' is pronounced 'loris' btw., so they rhyme. At least that's how I learned it.)
There. Something else for you to bother your fellow Texans with.
R,
I forgot to mention...James was hilarious last night! My favs were, "what the Nickolodean is goin on here?" (when the colored water fell on them.) And the way he said "must find my happy place" when his arm was in the air. I replayed that over and over I thought it was so funny.
Oops, better correct myself. It's oRbicularis, with an R.
Was gonna mention the "r", thought you might catch it.....what?
Yaeh, James was funny, probably out soon tho.
Youngset and I went and played putt putt (yes, I took the afternoon off) and she won. See, I really can't putt. Broke my video arcade rule and we played some gmes. Played a virtual turret game (was that the one you mentioned awhile back?) Anyhow, last game I played was a huntn game. Got in the van and thought, "what's that smell?". It was my shirt I(from holdin the gun), smelled like puke, very gross.
Ugh, I was eating a fudgicle when I read that. Guess you're back to your arcade rule. Dunno if that's the game. Did you turn circles looking into a pull down thing you look into, and shoot people?
Well putt putt can be tricky. Ok, not really, but you felt better for a second, right?
Golf league..not much to it I guess. Someone keeps track of your score every week and you compete w/in the group you're with. Just learned his is not a league, they just reserve 3 foursomes every week and play.
Red Wings takin on Nashville tnite. Big game, we're tied 2-2 in the 1st playoff round.
Had a day like you weather wise. Had burgers on the grill and ate outside. :)
Reg. the spelling...Well, I just didn't want the hostile Texans yellin, "it's ORbiculauris, dumb a**!!" Just lookin out for ya.
Think it was the same game, 'cept shot planes, ships, ect. Glad yall had some springtime weather; grilled ribs here.
They have playoffs in hockey? :)
Think I follow ya on the golf league thing now. Do they play their handicaps, teams, A-D players? Ok, maybe I dont get it.
Work weekend for me unfortunetly.
Bad News Baptists Drop Fifth Straight
In a game that saw four lead changes, the Battlin' Baptists dropped a close one, 10 to 7 in five innings. Coach Reck, subbin for head coach ol whats-his-name, mixed things up w/ some drastic line-up changes. In what was there best defensive effort of the year, the Baptists couldn't quite score the runs they needed in the end.
At the midway point of the season, the Whosoevers are a league worst 0-5, but solid improvements should see this team win atleast one before the seasons end.
Or not.
LET'S go RANgers!
They made short work of the Devils. Hopefully they'll have a better 2nd round than last year.
Regarding putt-putt. It really has nothing to do with putting on a real green. I was in a golf league once. It wasn't bad. I was a sub, but played almost every week. Basically it was handicapped so the only week that was terrible was your first. Other than that, if you shot under your handicap you probably won, if you shot over your handicap you probably lost. I think it was mostly good to get in with the higher ups at the job. All of the higher ups played.

Well I've got nothing to say" - Jethro Tull ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=pzpnSq7GkPU )
And the Wings win in overtime!!! (You should try winning sometime, Reck, they looked really happy.)
I shot planes and ships, but there were people comin at me on the beach, too. Sounds the same. Fun, eh?
I'll keep my eye on the Rangers. You've got that chant a little wrong, Nestor...it's "LETS go RED Wings!"
You were close, just a couple words off. ;)
The Red Wings. I remember a few weeks ago SI.com had an article of the biggest playoff upsets since like '92. I think the Red Wings were on the bad end of about 6 playoff upsets since then. But I suppose in their defense, they've been in the playoffs that many times.
Yeah, I'll give winning a shot some time; just to see how it feels.
So, yall are talkn 'bout the hockey Rangers. And I'm guessn the Hot Wings..sorry, Red Wings are a hockey team as well. Yall realize they're playn on ice, right? I mean they're skatn..on ice...and it's a sport. What's up w/ that?
Yall curlin fans by any chance? Now THERE'S a sport.
Curling fans...:)
Just watched "Mr.Brooks" w/ Kevin Costner. Dark, bloody and creeepy. Didn't much care for it. Thought I'd try something out of my comfort zone, but ya know what? Why? They call it comfort zone for a reason. It's nice..it feels good...it's...well it's comfortable. So unless going outside of that zone builds character in some way, I say stay in the zone.
Hey Reck, I'm thinkin w/in the next 6 mos., D and I might come down to Padre and charter a boat for some deep sea fishing. Would you and S be interested in a half day/5 hr. fishin trip? I figure that way, if you don't like us, you can still get some good fishin in. ;) I think it sounds like a blast, I've never done it. (Hello dramamine.) I didn't hear if N &C fish or not...
"Into to the zone...Auto Zone"
See, I can quote commercials as well.
Rockets down 6 at half. Too many injuries. Hopin we can win, but afraid we might get swept. Again, too many dang injuries. At one point, McGrady was the tallest guy we had on the court.
Hey, maybe if I think we'll lose, we'll win. Maybe I should pick the Jazz to win; seems to work for me.
Well, as long as you give us plenty a notice. I mean, six months; we're very busy people ;)
Actually, never been deep sea fishn either; sounds great!
Hey Lin, just dont ask reck to clean any fish for ya. Last time he tried at Garner he murdered my Bass. Of course mine was way bigger than his...
Well, frankly I'm a little afraid of Texas in the summer. (Smart alec.) You'll like it...you can bring a cooler full of diet green. I was lookin at charter companies down there today on line. I'd love to do Marlin, but I think it's really expensive, so I'd be happy with a smaller uglier fish.
D, T, and my bro were out on the Detroit River fishing for walleye this morning. No luck, just 2 bottom feeders. Yes, you can eat the fish now. As long as they don't have 2 heads.
Yes, go with the Jazz. You ever wonder why the Jazz are in Utah and the Saints are in New Orleans? (That's a GB quote.)
Ha! Maybe it's best to catch and release...
In my defense, the bass had it comin.
Rockets really out-manned; Jazzin four.
Texas summers really aren't that bad, just gotta watch out for all those garage snakes.
Well, goodnite O family, yall enjoy that Detroit river fishin.
Reck, whilst I agree it was a poor performance by the Rockets, I'm not ready to predict that the Jazz are gonna sweep us. But the Utah in me says Go Jazz (but the Houston in me is so much larger than the Utah in me. Damn I miss the skiing, though.)
StanNote: For those that don't know the history on Y the Utah Jazz is called Jazz when Utah is famous for MOTAB, here'tis - the Jazz were origonally the New Orleans Jazz before they moved to SLC.
Stan,
Well, I'm hopin we don't get swept, but I think we're just too short handed. Glad you'r pullin for the rockets, but after livin in SLC I understand you likin them as well.
Didn't know that the Jazz came from New Orleans. Think the Hornets should change there name tho. How about the New Orleans Blues.
Well I'm glad THAT week is over!! I hate when Glenn goes on vacation.
Even I knew the jazz came from New Orleans. Ever been there? Can't be THAT far from y'all. D and I went for New Years Eve one year. We were in the Florida panhandle and drove over. Rained all night, walked Bourbon Street with ponchos on. Just a bunch of crazies. We got back to the hotel before midnite, cuz we were told it'd take hours to get out of there after that. Neat experience, tho. Don't much need to go back. And my chicken, sausage, okra gumbo is just as good. :)
Plus how many times can you flash for beads? Gets tedious after awhile...;)
Okra gumbo, impressive. Yeah, I've been many times, only once for mardi gras tho. HJottest place I've ever been in the summer, 150%b humidity.
Good flashin weather :)
Well humidity has it's good points, too.
I'm out of touch. At least I was lastnight. I installed some more memory in my computer to see if it would help my Vista installation's speed (I've been 'Running With Sissors' (3615 spam comments caught my my newer spam catch since it's installation!!!!) on my XP installation in recent months) and had to solve some weird things happening with my computer to make certain I wasn't gonna have to take the memory back ...
I know that (should) sound strange upon first reading, "just think about it" (Limp Bizkit.)
I'm rearranged. ;-)
Linda, I take exception to your comment. Humidity is what makes it hard to deal with heat. Being from Houston I know this (but in recent weeks we've been pretty free from it. Tonight I'm starting to feel it creeping in unfortunately. There goes my Air Conditioning bill!!!! (I'm predecting ... )).
Oh well, it's been a nice vacation from typical Houston weather, but the enevitable is enevitable.
Now if you meant to say "humility" instead of "humidity", you would have a point.
Humidity is a killer. When we were coming back from Iraq we were getting all of our equiptment and inspections ready out in the desert where it was about 130 with no humidity. It was pretty bad. But when we were waiting for our flight near Kuwait City it was about 115 and humid. I didn't think it could be worse than out in the desert, but I was wrong.
Hey, nobody hates humidity more than a woman with hair on her head.
For some bizzare reason I thought there'd be little to no humidity over there Nest. 115 and humid, wow!
Well Kuwait City is on the Gulf. When it's 115 there's massive evaporation. But all you have to do is drive an hour into the desert and voila! No humidity...it's just 15 degrees hotter. You just hope it's not windy. When it's over 115 and windy it feels like a blow dryer.
