Is the fair tax right for America???
I recently signed the Fair Tax petition at http://www.fairtax.org/ and am not totally sold on it. However getting rid of the IRS and tax lawyers sounds pretty good to me. If you're reading this and you're one of the honest tax lawyers, or an employee of the IRS, I'm sorry but I think it would be wonderful if you found a new line of work. Again, I don't think the fair tax is perfect, but it is way better than our current system that only taxes honest people and not drug dealers, illegal immigrants and all others who 'work under the table'. It's time everyone, even the criminal elements, pay their fair share of taxes. Anyway, take a look at it, and if you want to, sign the petition by April 15th. They are going to bring the petition before congress and are looking for 100,000 signers. The last I checked they were at 70,000. Have a great day!

In a totlaly unrelated event today..I was out in the front bed checkin on some of our plants(to see if they were beginnin to bloom); was smokin a cigarette at the time, when I somehow got distracted and preceeded to bring my cig back to my lips backwards..yeah..still hurts.
doh! That's worse than lighting the wrong end. ouch!

Also watched episode 2, season 4 Lost (the only *OTHER* one I hadn't seen). The new aussie chicks name is Charlette Staplesw Lewis (C.S. Lewis), thought that was neat.
Well, no work for me manana. Oldest has senior skip day and is headn to Fiesta Texas. Middle ones goin to his first concert sat nite (glad he's a better 17 yr old than I was or I'd be worried, if ya know what I mean).
Well this sucks, can't even read articles at TH; says program has performed an illegal operation and shuts down. Curious about Obama's stance against concealed handgun laws.
Three more weeks til Lost is toooo long BTW.

It'll be great when the Tigers win a game so they can say we paid 140 million dollars for that one. ;) Well, the season's young, but swept by Kansas City? Didn't KC win three games all last year? ;)

You want a flat tax? Remove the cap on (what's called) Social Security.
Social Security. One of George Bush's better ideas as President was letting people invest a portion of their social security as they wished. Put the money in the stock market. It would be a huge boost (a real boost unlike what we will get next month) for the economy and would allow people to take their own money and actually earn real interest off of it. It would take pressure off of the social security system so that people like me will actually get back the money we paid into it.
BTW, as I said, I don't think the fair tax is perfect, but it is better than what we have now.

Let's see, what was one of President George "D Dubya I" Bush's other better ideas? Oh, there's this occupation of Iraq thing. How do you say, quagmire?
You could say quagmire if you want but I don't think one of my friends who is there would say that. But what does he know, he's just an Apache pilot. He did mention how the provice they are in used to be one of the most dangerous in Iraq and now it's one of the quietest. Do you know why? Because they are blowing crap up! If you unleash the full power of the United States military, there is no force in the world, not one, that we can not defeat. But we have been fighting this war with both hands behind our back. I think we're doing a pretty good job considering the way Washington is fighting the war. We would have all of our troops home (well at least 90%) by now if we had been fighting the way Patton would have fought it.

Idea. Not sure if it's a good one tho. What if...we treated the tribe portion of the Survivor draft like "regular season" and the individual part "playoffs"? We'd keep our current scores and add them to the playoff scores at the end. So, we'd re-draft at the merge...all back to 3 people (assuming they merge @10). Even out the playing field for the 2nd half and combine the halves to determine the winner. Thought it might be fun to shake it up, plus it looks like there are people goin to the merge who aren't picked by us (Natalie, Eliza)
OK, D just called and I told him my idea and I said 'what do you think?' and he said "sounds like a short stack tryin to bluff a bully."
Maybe it is bad...just trying to award us more points and make it more interesting. Anyway, let me know what you think.
My initial thought is I like it. But, seems unfair to the leader(s). My vote is to stay the course.

D's up for whatever, ask S what she thinks. It's not like there's anything actually riding on it, just thinking each episode would be more fun to watch if we drafted more people. We could do it, and I could still keep track of the other way, just to see how it pans out. So whoever wins the original way still gets their braggin rights.

Had a 14 to 5 lead after 3 innings and lost 16-15, what a bummer. I went 2 for 3 w/ 2 ribbies. Did make an error. Decided to set after 3rd to let another player play (still got to bat tho); ended up being costly.
Hopin we're still tied for 6th :(

Saw I Am Legend last night. We liked it alright. Kinda what I expected. Caught Little Miss Sunshine this morning. I love that movie. Beautiful here this weekend...the boys are out in the driveway washin the car (with their shirts off). I know, it's 55 degrees, but it feels like summer!
Oh, and I have to agreee w/ Will Smith's character when he said that Bob Marley's Legend is (one of) the best CD's ever.

One day you'll get the W. We have recently seen Sweeney Todd. It was alright, but they didn't develop the characters well enough for my taste. And it had the most singing I think I've ever seen. I know its a musical, but goodness. You CAN talk as well. I don't know if that's just how the play was, and Burton was trying to stay true to that or not. Anyway, not bad, if you like musicals with lots of blood.
