Vacation
Well we finally took a much needed vacation. It was great except for the day of mandatory assault by the salespeople. Hopefully they will leave us alone from now on. Anyway, we did buy into the timeshare and honestly it is a great deal. I just hate being harassed, and the paperwork which is supposed to be quick takes forever. By the end the kids were cranky and hungry, but we got a $25 gift card to the Rainforest Cafe out of the deal. The way this timeshare works, (I don't know how all others work but I've heard of some where you get one week a year and that's it) is you pay a set amount for the amount of points you get (plus a small monthly maintenance fee) and once it's paid off you own it and can give it to your children, grandchildren etc. and you are only required to pay the maintenance fee. You can go to any resort, at any time and never have to use the one you 'own a piece of,' if you don't want to. You get your points issued every year and can pretty much use them as you want to. There are probably about 40-50 resorts, plus thousands of affiliated ones which don't cost too much more to use. All in all, its a great deal, and it's better to stay in a condo than a hotel any day. It saves not only on hotel costs, but also food costs. Besides that afternoon we had a good time, and got to relax and hang out on the riverwalk for a few days. I didn't think the river would be drained, (they drained it two weeks early this year) but it was filled up by the last two days we were there. Also, we saw Tim Duncan at the zoo. I restrained myself and didn't approach him because he was spending time with his family, but I couldn't resist giving the 'head nod.' Anyway, it was a great time, but its still great to be back.

Congrats! Sounds like a lot of decision making...I know nothing about time shares, so can't speak to it. Is it in Texas? I would guess. It's always good to come home, isn't it? No matter where you go...
Well the time share that we 'own a piece of' is in San Antonio. But it doesn't matter. We can go anywhere (almost) in the world. There are no resorts or affiliated ones in Alaska :( , Also for some reason there are none in Iran, Iraq or Afghanistan....I can't imagine why. ;)
Glad to hear yall had a good time. Did you by chance get some of that great NY style pizza you once talked about? What was the place called again?
Anyhow, it's always nice to get away for awhile.
No pizza, well, not from there anyway. We almost went there one day when we went to the Quarry to watch a movie, but we had already eaten and I didn't want to eat more and then go in and eat popcorn at the movie, which I can't really resist. The place is called Florio's.
Hey Nestor, congrats on your Giants win against the Cowboys.
I've got no favorites in the game now, so I think I'll root for San Diego (as their AFC.)
Thanks.
I got pretty scared at the end when the Giants couldn't move the ball and gave the 'Girls over 3 minutes to go 50 yards. Especially when the Giants D had been on the field so long. But they held up, and the 'Girls made some mistakes, drops and penalties. It was a good game. I actually felt good about their chances. I don't necessarily feel the same way about next week. I hope I'm wrong.
BTW Stan,
How are your parents doing?
Always good to see the "Girls" lose. America's Team, ha.
I did like how all of the fox guys AND the W. impersonator picked Dallas. The impersonator was funny though. He said something like; 'Dallas is America's team, New York is New Jersey's team.' And, 'Dallas' colors are blue, the color of loyalty and silver, the color of money. Heh-heh. New York's colors; red, white, and blue, the colors of the French flag.'
As good as can be expected for their age, I guess. Last weeks crisis seems to be over. ThanX for the concern.
On Reck's blog server: I don't think I've ever seen a site that so consistantly so inconsistant in being available on the net. I'm starting to wonder if they're shifting their bandwidth over to their porn operations ... ;-)
Does Jeffy/James Dale Gannon/Guckert have a blog on TownHall.com? Just curious! ;-)
Hey Nestor, have you started your new term? How do you like your classes?
Classes so far are OK. I'm taking Calculus, Microbiology and Genetics. Fun stuff...so far. I've been wanting to put a new post up, but haven't really been inspired yet. Maybe soon.
Here's some inspiration for you. Go Hillary '08!
Lol...someone reel him in...
Nestor,
What was that last one? I think I dozed off after I read "Microbiology". Good luck w/ that. Better you than me with that course schedule!
REQUEST TO BLOGOWNER: Nestor, a new post please? Don't you have ANYthing to say? ;-)
I have a few ideas. I have two unfinished posts, and a new one formulating in my brain. But with work and the new semester I have been busy. For a while though, I didn't have much to say. Maybe tonight depending how tired I am when I get home from work. If not, then I should have one this weekend.

> I have a few ideas. ...
Whilst I don't think that the first idea you've shown is so great ... , at least it's better than any idea that Bleck has come up with (I mean, you actually posted a new post!!!!). Of course that's not saying much... I mean, "nothin' from nothin' is nothin'".
